FI-EFI1 Earth fault indicator is an Earth fault indicator with remote transmission signal function.

In a Ring network distribution system, especially in a system that uses Ring Main Unit in large quantity, if a wire earth fault occurs in the distribution network system, the power supply system of the next level must be disconnected within a specified time to prevent major accidents.

When power lines have a short circuit or ground fault, the short circuit current in ground or produced electromagnetic field changes, which makes the cable with sensor in measuring coil to produce pulse signal. When the value of the pulse signal reaches or exceeds the size of the set fault current value, fault indicator automatically detects fault status and fault indicator lights start flashing. This can help to minimize the time for troubleshooting and restoring the power supply network.
